The World of Insolvency: The Video
In case you didn’t notice, we are still trying to climb out of the debt crisis of 2008.
Seriously, while the US is not out of the woods, other parts of the world under different insolvency regimes are having an even tougher time. A panel discussion sponsored by the American College of Bankruptcy–First Circuit and Boston College Law School brought together important figures in the world of insolvency to discuss the significance of well-designed and functioning systems for insolvency, trade and commercial credit and managing cross-border insolvency. The panel was organized and moderated by CBI principal Dan Glosband.
From the comfort of your own device, you can watch these major figures in the world of insolvency and credit as they confirm that our role as members of the insolvency community is important to society and the economy. The panelists are: Sean Hagan, General Counsel of the IMF; Jenny Clift, Senior Legal Officer of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law; Charles W. Mooney, Jr., the Charles A. Heimbold, Jr. Professor of Law, University of Pennsylvania Law School; and Honorable Martin Glenn, United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York.
The panel’s views are fascinating and insightful on how insolvency and credit affect economic growth and impact the resolution of financial crises across developed and developing countries. The video is in two parts and the links are:
